A Case Primary Carcinoma of the Liver in a Child

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of surgically treated prrimary carcinoma of the liver in a 6 year old boy is reported.
In Korea, higher incidence of primary carcinoma of the liver among all Korean population has been pointed out by Dr Lee, which were 7.19% in male and 2.23% in female, average 4.99% over all.
Also Dr Lee and Lee were speculated higher incidence of primary carcinoma of the liver in the infants and childfood in Korea than that of in Euroamerican.
In the review of literature for primary carcinoma of the liver among Korean infants and childfood, only 11 cases were reported without therapeutic details.
A child head sized well encapsulated mass of the right lobe was simply enucleated and wedge form resection was perfomed to the finger tip sized one of the left lobe.
Five months later, the patient had returnep to the clinic because of severe emaciation with abdominal distension and irregular masses in the abdominal cavity which supposed to be recurred.
